Before any data: the model's own prediction

Frozen before Qloo was asked, so what Qloo adds can be told apart from what the model already assumed. An entry a measured name matches is marked; the match is liberal, so it only lowers what counts as new.

The design the model would make from it alone

A near-black, candlelit page with tarnished-gold engraved serif type, a slowly rotating record drawn like an eclipse ring, and cryptic item-description copy for each section of the shop.

Each arm's own review

The agent of each arm judged its own captures against its own plan.

With Qloo

Round 2: 5 met, 0 partly, 0 missed.

With the headline repair, every criterion is met on round-2 captures: colour-blocked bone-and-ink panels, slanted grid, compressed heavy type, stitched decks drawing and a visible volume index on both views.

Check: 1.00, 7 of 7 devices in the files.

The look models default to: 1 of 12 signatures (zero-padded section or card numbers (01, 02, 03)).

With Qloo: the full report

Without Qloo

Round 1: 5 met, 0 partly, 0 missed.

Round 1 captures show every planned criterion met: the etched arch and record carry the hero on desktop, the carved serif title fits on mobile, the four numbered inscriptions stack cleanly with exact hours and address, the palette stays soot-and-gold, and the form asks only for an email.

Check: 1.00, 7 of 7 devices in the files.

The look models default to: 3 of 12 signatures (a display serif model-made pages default to, one italic word set apart in a heading and a near-black ground lit by one warm amber accent).

Without Qloo: the full report

Limits

  • One pair is one sample. Model variance alone makes two designs differ, so one distance does not isolate what Qloo changed; repeat the pair before calling a difference the data's effect.
  • The distance is a heuristic over palettes, type classes, landmark sections and CSS features. It does not measure quality or what people prefer.
  • The headline counts devices anchored to what the prediction did not contain. It shows that the data changed the specification, not that the result is better.

Run it again

A try runs the same prompts each time; the model reaches its own prediction and design, and the measurement and the comparison are made the same way.

The request

Design a one-page website for Wax & Wane, a small record shop in Moda, Istanbul. It is for people who love Elden Ring and Berserk. Use the Moûsa plugin, so the design rests on what this audience actually loves. Facts to keep exactly: - Name: Wax & Wane - Address: Moda Caddesi 42, Kadıköy, Istanbul - Open Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00 to 21:00; closed on Mondays - New and used vinyl, a listening corner with two turntables, and a listening session every Thursday at 19:30 - A newsletter sign-up form that asks for an email address only Build it as static HTML and CSS in this folder, with a small script only if the design needs one. Write all copy in English.

The command

From the repository at commit 0deed15:

node scripts/run-try.mjs --starter blank-site --references "Elden Ring; Berserk" --pair
  • Your own Qloo API key as QLOO_API_KEY in this repository's .env.
  • Kiro CLI 2.24.0, signed in or with KIRO_API_KEY.
  • A Chromium-based browser for the review captures (MOUSA_BROWSER names one).
